Allison Patrick

Allison Patrick is the Acting Assistant Secretary of Foundation Geospatial Branch, in the Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation, Defence Intelligence Group, Department of Defence.

In this role, Allison leads the delivery and production of authoritative topographic foundation geospatial data to military standards and specifications in support of the Australian Defence Force and the Australian National Intelligence Community. Allison is the Chair of the Defence Geospatial Requirements Prioritisation Framework Producer Working Group; as such, Allison is the lead representative of the Australian Defence Geospatial Foundation Producer Community. Allison is also the Defence representative on several national geospatial governance bodies, including the Intergovernmental Committee on Surveying and Mapping, and the Location Inter-Departmental Committee.

In addition, Allison is Head Resident Unit and Senior APS Executive of AGO-Bendigo, with the majority of Foundation Geospatial Branch located in AGO-Bendigo, Victoria.

Allison is a Geospatial-Intelligence professional with over 20 years’ experience at AGO. Joining AGO in 2004 as a graduate geospatial-intelligence analyst, Allison has supported and managed a range of intelligence production, training and tradecraft, corporate governance and policy and capability functions. Prior to her current position Allison held a variety of management positions including Director of the GEOINT Program Office, Assistant Director GEOINT Mission Systems, Assistant Director Governance Office of Capability Coordinator Geospatial Information, Assistant Director GEOINT Career Management, and Assistant Director Counter Terrorism.

Allison holds a Bachelor of Science (Environmental) with Honours in Geospatial Information Systems. Allison relocated to AGO-Bendigo to take up the position of Executive Director Foundation GEOINT Production in 2021. In 2023, Foundation GEOINT Production was elevated to Foundation Geospatial Branch, at which point Allison was elevated to an acting Assistant Secretary.
