Captain Andrew Sargeant

Captain Andrew Sargeant is the UK National Representative in the Allied System for GEOINT (ASG) Operations Coordination Cell (AOCC) having assumed appointment in July 2021. Working out of Pathfinder Building RAF Wyton, this small team of FVEY partners conduct the role of coordinating mission management on behalf of the ASG Operations Forum to enable enduring and persistent FVEYs GEOINT cooperation and collaboration.

Prior to commissioning into the Royal Engineers in 2016 Capt Sargeant was an experienced Geospatial Technician having enlisted into the Army in 1994. He has served in the UK and Germany and has deployed on operations in Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia and Afghanistan. Previous appointments include multiple roles within 42 Engineer Regiment (Geographic), Terrain Analysis Instructor at the Royal School of Military Survey, Operations SNCO at the Joint Air Reconnaissance Intelligence Centre, Geospatial Training Policy for the Joint Forces Intelligence Group and Operations Officer at the Defence Geographic Centre.
