Capt. Jared Dumale is an Instructor of Geosciences with the Department of Economics and Geosciences, United States Air Force Academy, Colorado where he is responsible for the instruction of the Cultural Geography and serves as the Academy’s Deputy Director of Geospatial Intelligence.
The captain enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 2013 and completed technical training as an avionics specialist before being assigned to the 923d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona. Following years of enlisted service, he secured a commission through Officer Training School.
Capt. Dumale completed the Air Force Basic Intelligence Officer’s course in 2020 and has since held multiple positions at the Air Operations Center (AOC) and Major Command (MAJCOM) staff levels, specializing in geospatial intelligence support to mobility air operations. Prior to his current position, the captain was a Senior Intelligence Duty Officer, 618 Air Operations Center, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.
Capt. Dumale’s expeditionary experience includes participation in numerous missions and exercises in every geographic command as a member of a combat search and rescue global response element. Most notably, deployments to Iraq and the East Mediterranean supporting both operations ENDURING FREEDOM and INHERENT RESOLVE, the Horn of Africa to support Joint Special Operations, and Ecuador supporting Joint Interagency Task Force – South (JIATF South) combatting illicit drug trafficking in South and Central America.
