Dr. Mike Thomas

Dr. (Lt Col ret) Michael L. Thomas is currently assigned to Joint Base Charleston as the Deputy Director of the National Cyber Range Charleston (NCRC). Previously he was a Professor of Cyberwarfare Studies at the Air War College (AWC), Maxwell AFB, AL. Prior assignments focused on the application of GEOINT to various organizations as well as tactical network design to EUCOM and AFRICOM, where he was responsible for the design, implementation and fielding of major Systems Engineering projects initiated by the Navy, sister services and other US government customers. He has also served various tours at the Pentagon, served as a Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) LNO to the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), and to the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) as an instructor teaching Cyberwar courses.
