Edoardo Nemni is currently working on Artificial Intelligence applications for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response at United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT) based at CERN. He oversees the development and operationalization of ML models applied to satellite imagery for disaster response such as flood analysis, shelter mapping, building footprints, damage assessment, and more. He also designs operational analysis pipelines to speed up decision-making processes that deliver support in emergency response. Before UNOSAT, he completed an M.Sc. in Mathematical Modelling at Computation at the Technical University of Denmark.
