Senior Principal Consultant – ISTAR, Cyber & Information Systems Division Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl)

Geoff Twentyman has over 30 years’ experience within the intelligence domain. Having graduated from the Department of Geomatics at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1991, he embarked on his civilian career within the UK Ministry of Defence.

His career has seen him working for 10 years within Geodesy and Photogrammetry at the National Centre for Geospatial Intelligence.

Since 2001, Geoff has worked within MOD Research and Development at the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) and is based at Porton Down in Wiltshire as an ISTAR consultant. This currently includes being the UK representative on a significant Five Eyes research collaboration covering intelligence collection, production and analysis. It also involves acting as a Principal Advisor for the Artificial Intelligence research programme.
