Giorgio Apponi

Born in 1958, Giorgio Apponi joined Telespazio in 1984. Graduated in Electronic Engineering, in his first years in Telespazio he has been involved and managed important projects based on satellite data and services in several application domains including agriculture, forestry, environment and disaster monitoring. In 2009 he steps on at e-GEOS, the ASI/Telespazio joint venture, as Responsible for international sales activities of COSMO-SkyMed products, ground receiving stations and application services. In 2018 he got a Master on Global Strategy and Security, participating to the annual course at the Institute for Advanced Defence Studies (IASD), the top joint educational institution of the Italian Defence. Since 2019 he is Head of Defence & Intelligence in e-GEOS.
