Jared Newton

Jared Newton is the Technical Executive for the National GeospatialIntelligence Agency's (NGA) Source Commercial & Business Operations Group, where he collaborates between industry and government to identify, develop, and deliver transformational geospatial technology to the civil, defense, and intelligence communities. Jared has 20 years of geospatial intelligence experience, serving in analytical, technology, and strategic roles with the U.S. Army, the U.S. Marine Corps, and NGA. Jared has a Masters of Arts in Intelligence Studies from American Military University, and completed thesis work developing broad area nighttime change detection algorithms using civil remote sensing systems. He has a passion for commercial remote sensing, information democratization and transparency, and predictive analytics.
