Michael Lanini studied geography at the University of Zurich and is the Head of the Institute of Military Geography at swisstopo, the Swiss Federal Office for Topography. As a GIS & Remote Sensing specialist as well as staff officer, his work focuses on delivering geospatial technologies and solutions for the Swiss Armed Forces and supporting the further development of policies and operational frameworks in this sector.
