Professor Michael Webb has been with the University of Adelaide since 2008 where he currently holds the position of Executive Director for the Defence and Security Institute. Michael provides industry and government a single point of contact within the University for Defence related research and education and oversees the University’s extensive Defence research program including the Defence Trailblazer program. Key areas of research strength at the University include advanced cyber and influence, quantum technologies, autonomy, and international security.
Prior to working at the University, Michael worked at the Defence Science and Technology Group, for more than 20 years, in areas including radar, signals intelligence, command and control, and communications. Michael holds degrees in engineering, physics and psychology and is passionate about bringing transdisciplinary teams together to solve important Defence problems.
