Richard Elliott

Richard Elliott is Defence Intelligence’s IMINT Capability lead and UK Head of Profession for Imagery Analysis. After 23 years’ service in the Royal Air Force, Richard joined the MoD as a civilian analyst. Following 2 appointments as a National GEOINT Officer, leading both strategic and operational requirements he was appointed Capability Lead. Since 2018 Richard has supported the largest equipment upgrade project since Pathfinder building was opened in 2013, one of the largest IMINT modernisation schemes since imagery became digital and complete rewrite of UK IMINT training. This in addition to supporting other collaborative programs/projects that seeks to enhance the UK’s IMINT capability in supporting critical national and international commitments.
