Tim Murphy

Tim Murphy has over 25 years of building innovative technology to solve intelligence, military, humanitarian and commercial data problems. As the Director of Contextual Intelligence he is the practice lead for solving connected data problems, and the product owner for upcoming Esri products focused on fusing disparate stores of data for better analysis and understanding. His work connects Esri’s market leading ArcGIS with new ways of analyzing data to help Esri’s millions of users. Prior to his current position at Esri, Mr. Murphy was on the executive team and helped build a graph-based intelligence fusion company. He also built his first startup focused on envisioning and engineering new data collection capabilities for the U.S. Federal Government. He holds multiple patents for these technologies, has had his work shown in Wired Magazine, Discovery Channel, and MSNBC, and advises for technologists and senior leaders alike. He received his Masters from San Diego State University and lives in Northern Virginia.
