Treva Smith

Director, NGA College National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA)

Ms. Treva D. Smith serves as the Director of the National GeospatialIntelligence College (NGC) in the Human Development (HD) Directorate, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Building on her experience as Deputy Director, NGC, Ms. Smith leads NGC in advancing GEOINT and Leadership training to meet current and future needs.

From 2018 until 2021, Ms. Smith was the Director of Corporate Services Office for the Source Operations and Management Directorate. Ensuring organization and operational effectiveness, she provided the leadership of timely and accurate mission enabling corporate business services, through strategic planning, corporate communications, PPBE processes, staff management and Source Tradecraft and Training.

Previously, Ms. Smith was the Director of Workforce and Management Services, Human Development Directorate, where she led human resource management for the Agency, offering advisory and operational services for employee relations, benefits, awards and recognition, workforce flexibilities, medical services, wellness program, performance management and HR teams that specifically support NGA Directorates.

Before joining NGA, she held positions with Department of the Army, Defense Intelligence Agency and Department of Justice, United States Marshall Service.

With over 35 years of federal service, Ms. Smith is an experienced leader and has received numerous awards and recognition throughout her career. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts Degree in human relations and Master of Science degree in organizational development from Trinity University, Washington, DC. Ms. Smith is a member of the Junior League of Washington, DC, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
